RAILINGS AND SHOERAILS
All railings including R100 7" are
solid. Railings are available in specified lengths plowed,
with fillet or flat bottom. We recommend plowing toprails
for ease of installation. We do not recommend plowing
shoe-rail on exterior applications as it creates a place
where water collects. Curved rail is available for flat
curves (no compound curves such as spiral stairs).
Custom-sizing our patterns and custom
patterns are no problem.
Plowed toprails typically include a 3/4-inch deep cut, and are furnished with a 1/2-inch tall nailer. This allows the toprail to "capture" the nailer and baluster assembly and hold it solidly in place.
